Oh my heart. These two won me over from the start. Truly thankful one of mine and Jess’ mutual friends referred me to Jess when she was searching for a wedding photographer….I’m so blessed that I was able to meet these two fantastic people because I can now say that we are lifelong (I hope!) friends.
There are so many things that I can say about these two, but I will keep a few of those words for their wedding blog post. For now, I’d like to say that this day was one of my favorites all throughout the spring and early summer. Jess, Ken and I carpooled together and headed north to the Gilman Tunnels near the Jemez pueblo in late April. We chatted the whole way up there and the whole way back…and even when we didn’t say talk, it was a natural, more comfortable silence. When I meet someone and we can have a relationship like this, it makes photographing them so much simpler. They become more at ease in front of the lens and they are able to bong with their partner naturally with the love they share as I photograph quietly in the background. Smiles and laughter become more natural and the chemistry between the two is wholly ignited. It’s a special experience and it makes the work I do that much more important.
So congrats, you two. I’m forever thankful for your friendship.
