When Joseline, Sean, and I were discussing their wedding plans, I was happy to hear that they liked my suggestion of having a Taos engagement shoot at Hotel Luna Mystica. They had mentioned they were thinking of a “disco in the desert” theme for their engagement shoot and Joseline had the perfect outfit for it – a wonderfully multi-colored sequin jumpsuit! It was incredible and just the outfit for her to wear during their engagement shoot. Since they also expressed interest in having a more casual, in-home type of engagement shoot, a place like Hotel Luna Mystica was a perfect fit. With their vintage Airstreams that strut stylish interiors and the neighboring Taos Mesa with views of the Sangre de Christo mountain range, we had the best of both worlds. I was able to photograph the two enjoying their drinks in the tranquility of the Airstream while also having the opportunity to photograph them having fun on the Taos Mesa (and not to mention having a little too much fun on the swing that Hotel Luna Mystica provides for their guests!). We ended that beautiful April afternoon with tacos and beers from Taos Mesa Brewing next door and waited for the sun to set for their campfire engagement photos and a little bit of star gazing. Although our night’s stay at the hotel brought vicious winds and rain as we slept (or didn’t sleep, in my case), it was certainly one of my favorite shoots from this past spring.
