Towards the end of every year, I get a lot of inquiries from clients who want their photos taken, whether it’s for Christmas photos for families, engagements, or sometimes last-minute elopements. This year brought me a handful of wonderful engagement shoots with clients who aren’t even my wedding clients, which always makes me so happy! I truly love working with my couples one-on-one, whether it’s for their engagement, intimate elopement, or during their portrait time on their wedding day. It just brings me so much joy and my passion and creativity truly flows freely when I can work closely with my couples to provide them with photos that honestly depict their affection and love for one another. For Emily and Matt, we decided to photograph their fall engagement at the Valles Caldera National Preserve and at a nearby trailhead for variety in landscape. Now, let me tell you – my cheeks sincerely hurt from smiling so much during this shoot. Emily and Matt are simply hilarious! Emily grew up in New Orleans and her fiery Southern spark was wonderful to catch glimpses of as they told me stories about themselves throughout our evening together. Looking back at these photos, even three months later, they still remind me of how fun it was to spend time with these two and I can’t help but smile again as I write this. Isn’t that the best? Looking back at photos and smiling from the memories you have of that day? Yep, I think it is, too. If you’re looking to book me for your elopement, contact me here!
